ANNE's "blue boy" blankie
Knitted by Anne, who is blog free.
I have christened it "The Blue Boy," not only for the color but because like
the original he is a dandy and has a nice lace collar.
I used some wool from my stash that my mother gave me that fails to indicate
on the label how many yards/meters to the skein: Emu Superwash DK, 100% wool,
50 g per skein. Anyway I lost track of how many skeins I used - it was 6 or 7,
on #6 needles. Now that it's blocked it measures 40" which I can't quite
believe - it was more like 31 unblocked. No wonder it took so long. (I ended with
600 stitches on the needle.)
I added the YO row out of sheer boredom and need for variety, and then echoed
it in the border, which is my very favorite part of the whole thing.
