fabulous prizes
Okay, the meathead drawing has occurred. There are winners! The winners will be getting the following prizes in the mail as soon as this show is hung up and I can get them mailed out.
But there is one rule for all you winners. The rule is, if you don't like your prize or just don't think you'll use it, you must feel free to re-gift it, sell it, whatever. I will not be offended if I notice you don't use it or anything. Okay? Okay then....
The lovely Diane gets fancy soaps from Oh Baby, the one and only corporate sponsor of this ridiculout effort.
Carrie gets the world's best coffee. Woo hoo. (Too bad I can't stand the smell of coffee these days. This used to be one of my favorite things in the world. I hope I love it again after I have my baby).
Mindy from New Jersey (yay!) gets a fabulous Kool Aid dyeing kit, with roving, yarn, and everybody's favorite chemically enhanced drink mix in a variety of "flavors."
Shetha has won a sheer poncho kit, meaning 2 balls of Jaeger Zephyr in steel gray. It would look gorgeous on her!
Cecelia P will receive an as-yet-unknown gift from Lint, where I'm headed today for a mystery sale.
And Danielle J has won two balls of Danette Taylor mohair in the Peaches colorway, a hazy mist of pink, peach, and yellow:

YAY! Me and my boy are such coffee drinkers too!! I'm so excited! I never win anything...and such a great prize too. Thanks Larissa! Can't wait to hear all about the show and see pics. Have fun with the installation!

Wow, I rarely win anything. Thanks Larissa! It was fun to just be a part of your project. Can't wait to see pics of it. Wish I lived closer so I could see it in person. Hope it all goes well for you!:-)

Same here -- I'm always stunned when I win something. Thanks! I've been thinking about trying my hand at dyeing something other than my hair -- I even have a crock-pot that I probably use only once or twice a year. And roving...how'd you know I've been surreptitiously looking at spindles on eBay? Do you have a preference for top or bottom whorls? I'm not sure I can tell what the difference is, performance-wise.
God, that sounds so smutty.
The smell-sensitivity thing passes; though I still can't abide garlic, which I used to put in EVERYTHING before I got knocked up, and that's almost 3 (!) years ago now. Go figure.

ouch, coffee aversion - it's happening to me, too, and I am not pleased (with my first pregnancy, I was fine). most food aversions go away by the fourth or fifth month - and the rest usually disappear by the time you're done with labor. i'll be crossing my fingers for you :)

Wow! I am weeks behind on the blogs that I normally read, so forgive me for the tardy CONGRATULATIONS on your future little artist!

Lovely prizes -- congrats to winners. Congrats to you, as well!! Oh, those food (and other) aversions -- they're different with every pregnancy, and sometimes they last. I haven't had French onion soup in nearly 20 years (pregnancy #1); it was always a favorite and sounded good when I ordered it, but when it was placed before me -- well, I can still recall how utterly disgusted and sick it made me feel. Good luck to you!!

Since I never got a package of yarn or anything, I guess I missed out on the Meathead fun!!! :( Oh well, Congrats to you though, on your latest 'project' :) Hopefully, the coffee aversion isn't permanent!!

i guess i had my third still recently enough that i feel compelled to share in the pregnancy thing. i had exactly the same thing happen to me for all three with coffee, i definately enjoyed coffee in between, and i am certainly enjoying it now. weird huh? in fact i first suspected i was pregnant the 2nd and 3rd times because of the coffee aversion.

Awww Thank you! I feel so lucky -- and after my computer died this morning, it's taking a LOT to make me feel happy about ANYthing! This may sound weird but there are small gifts in these funny side effects (food aversions, etc). Without any sypmtoms it took me about 26 wks of pregnancy before I felt pregnant at all! Besides, coffee can have dehydrating affects anyway, and you need your hydration! I found a happy alternative was chai tea :-) (sans sugar because I got too fat too fast, though)

I am a *big* coffee drinker, but from as soon as I fell pregnant, I couldn't drink a drop. Or smell it. And raw meat, too.
But within hours after she was born, I *craved* coffee. Mind you, she was 5 or so before I got time to sit down and drink a hot one! Still not crash hot on the smell or feel of raw meat though. :)
