hanging your heads
During which I got a visit from Rebecca, one of the knitters. It's so wonderful to meet people who have done this with me!
Other than hanging the show, it's the Same Old Sandwich. Still sick. Still trying to figure out how I want the blog to look. Still wishing my art were weirder, and that there were more of it. Still doing Cozy of the Week too!

Hey! A soul sister! I always wish my stuff were weirder too. It's hard to get too weird knitting, but I always wish I could just fall on off over into the artistic abyss. Those people always seem to get away with so much ;)

Larissa! It was great meeting you and I do hope you stop feeling queasy soon :) Hopefully you'll be back to having coffee once the baby is born, especially since you'll need it then. Thanks for letting Stephanie and I come and visit you at the gallery. We loved it!

Maybe you've considered this already, but belly casts can be a cozy. I did one with a friend when she was pregnant. It was good fun. I kept planning on doing one, too, but somehow managed to forget and then, whala, I was in labor. Oops. Too late. I remember finding instructions and a supply list online somewhere, and remember reading about someone who turned theirs over, lined it with a lamb's skin and their baby slept inside there. I just googled to try to find the site and found all sorts of belly casting galleries. This one: http://www.yourbirthconnection.com/bellygallery.htm
AND this one that does bronze casted versions: http://www.mamasbelly.com/gallery.htm
are a starting point, but there are many others to check out. It seems like everyone just sells kits, now. I couldn't find the instructions or the supply list anywhere. Maybe a little more poking around could find it. Anyways, I just saw your cozy site, am enjoying it, and thought of the belly casting immediately.

Great art! I would love to view this in person.
Have more confidence in your work! I found your website first because of your art and not your knitting. I came back because of your knitting and had that deja vu moment when I found your art again.
I would love to read your artist's statement of this intstallation. I love the meathead concept. :)
p.s. I cannot read/view your header.
