the next knitalong is only for squares

Julie called them the “precious coin of knitterly love.”

Afghan squares.  The go-to project for knitters when anyone, anywhere is in need.  No Knitalong book would be complete without them.

And I hope you will knit one or two.

My Knitting Life wrote about sewing up such squares, "It is humbling to be in the presence of the handiwork of so many knitters."  I know I will be awed and overwhelmed by your goodness and uniqueness if you do.

Me, too!!! Now I need to go buy some yarn for this. Everything in my stash is the wrong color (mostly blues). :) Sounds like fun and for a good cause, too. Nice combo!

hmmm...I've got lots of choices right from my stash. It's going to be hard to choose!

I don't have the right colors...but I love these projects 'cause I'm learning new techniques. So I will knit a test square and hope it is good enough for the charity afghan. By the way can I contribute a skein of Knit Picks Shimmer in the Grape Hyacinth colorway and a skein of Cascade 220 in pink to the winners cache??
