Makes the shameless self-promotion go down.
Larissa will be signing books and leading a Knitter's Magic Yarn Ball project - perfect to give as a Mother’s Day Gift. You can buy the yarn and all the little gifts to go inside at Twisted. Designer and photographer Sarah Gilbert, who has one pattern and many photos in the book, will join me.
Dads and significant others, this is your opportunity to get a great knittin’ gift for mom, a signed book and a Magic Yarn Ball! Bring your credit cards and children.
At Twisted on NE Broadway, Portland, Oregon. May 8. 6 pm.
p.s. I hope the pretty picture absolves me for this promotional but oh-so-informative post.

You are hereby totally absolved...if I were in the Pacific Northwest I would so be there!

Hey, we like you, otherwise we wouldn't come and visit your blog. I think it's entirely appropriate and welcome for you to let us know when you'll be promoting your book at events such as this.

I would be there in a heartbeat if I lived in the area. I hope it goes well!

I knit the first of a pair of Doppio Gauntlets this weekend. My friend flipped out when she saw the pattern and insisted that I knit her a pair. We picked out three lovely shades of Malabrigo Worsted (one held double for the edges and laces) and I got started. She wanted a pair with thumb holes, so I made a few easy modifications, and Voila!!! I'll post them on my blog and on Ravelry soon, but I wanted to let you know right away! Thanks for the great pattern. :)
